What to wear for a job interview? It's a seriously daunting task whether you're a man or a woman, much more if you are a woman. One thing to remember will be the old cliche - dress for success! Although it is an old and rather stupid sounding suggestion, it truly does work and what you wear to an interview is just as essential as everything you have filled your resume with.

First impressions are made in just a few seconds. As per a fashion tips website, 38% of any first impression will depend on your tone and inflection or even the way you say what you say. 7% of it is founded on the things you actually say what you say and approximately 55% of a first impression arises from nonverbal cues. Which makes it important what you wear and clothing will influence the interviewer's impression of you. The way you look either makes or breaks your image in the hiring interviewer's mind. Should they appreciate whatever they see, your odds of getting the job will increase tenfold. Even though you may say everything they expect of you and your resume is spotless, if your appearance in anyway, offends the person who will likely be doing the hiring, chances are you won't be considered for the job.

After going to a few websites I compiled a prospective list of types of outfits would work out to suit your needs at an interview to ensure that it will leave a great impression and also win the heart of an interviewer and score you that job!

The first step in deciding what to wear to your interview would be to go and perform some research!

Find out first the business the firm is a component of, speak to people who have worked there if at all possible or people already working there, even hang around outside their office checking out what current workers are wearing! Go ahead! We stalk people on social networks constantly!

If you are being interviewed in the fashion industry, familiarize yourself with the styles the company prefers and writes about. Go read a couple of their magazines and visit their boutiques. If it's an artist, understand their line and what kind of style they represent. If it is a public agency, research the clientele and their styles. Define your wardrobe choices with respect to the result of your investigation.

Sometimes, website may offer what they expect for a dress code for their company. This is a little known fact and you ought to attempt to check to see if the company you are planning to connect with has such codes on their site.

If they do not say specifically what dress code you should wear, then you might assume that they desire a professional business clothing and go as conservative as you can to the interview. Another gem of advice is that it is usually preferable to be over dressed than under dressed.
