Why Christmas Tree Is Worshipped?

Christmas tree which is worshiped throughout the world is basically evergreen coniferous tree and those who do not worship it call it as 'Yule tree'. The practice of worshiping is believed to have stated in the early 15th century. The honor of worshiping the tree for the first time goes to some of the youths in the Estonia province of North Germany. This practice was slowly copied by other Christians and now it has become a great religious activity all over the world.

The manner of worshipping is quite interesting; people buy the tree and bring it home with utmost religious faith. Then they decorate the tree and using varieties of garlands, tinsel and attractive ornaments etc. As a gesture of the Angel from Bethlehem Nativity, a star is kept and it is kept on the top of the tree. The worship is done at every place like the houses, public gardens, offices etc.

Fashion keeps changing and this is true of decorating the tree which witnessed newer methods of decoration. In addition to the image of the angel people started keeping family photo on this tree. Those who are traditional started growing the tree in the backyard and started to worship in the garden itself. Now synthetic product has replaced many natural products and it is true of this tree as well. More and more people are buying synthetic tree so that they use it year after year for worship.

Some of the tree is available with an attractive stand. As the Christmas approaches, many dealers in the tree open make shift shops for the convenience of the people. These make shift shops sell decoration materials and other articles needed for worshipping.

Now, every Christian family has started worshipping the tree. People started adopting newer approaches to decoration of the tree. In fact the gaiety Christmas celebration lies in the decoration of this holy tree. Sky is the limit for your imagination and people started inventing newer designs for decorating the tree using the specially designed products.

People first decorate the table on which it is to be kept and then they decorate the tree as well. The occasion is used to spread the message of the Lord and some of the verses of the Holy Bible are artistically written on the wall and below the writing the table and the tree is kept. Some people are in the habit of keeping fruits, bread etc near the tree. The tradition now being followed is to decorate the Christmas tree as a blessing tree for special occasions like the wedding etc.
